CSÁRDÁS WINE TASTING BENEFIT IN MAY MOVEMENT ARTS CENTER SHOWCASE IN JUNE!
Csárdás Dance Company will have a 10th anniversary wine tasting benefit on Wednesday, May 19th at 7 P.M. at Budapest Blonde Continental Wine Bar, located at Rockside Corners, 6901 Rockside Road in Independence, Ohio 44131.
The evening benefit will feature five wines, including Hungarian wines, and a variety of hors d'oeuvres, silent auction and door prizes. $50 per person. Call 216-533-4194 for reservations with full payment.
The school of Csárdás Dance Company, the Movement Arts Center, (MAC) will present an evening of dance at the Grace Drake Center for the Arts located at 222 South Broadway in Medina, Ohio, 44256. The performance will be on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 7 P.M. General admission: $10 - Call 216-533-4194 for tickets. Visa and MasterCard accepted.
The evening will showcase works by the students of the Movement Arts Center as well as faculty and guest artists. The evening will include performers ranging in age from 3 to adult and will feature a variety of dance forms and styles.
Inclusive of the styles will be ballet, creative movement, modern dance, Hip Hop with an appearance by the Csárdás Dance Company Youth Ensemble performing vibrant and colorful Hungarian themed dances. Our special guests will be Columbus native Nicole Cafera with Christopher L. Smith performing an Argentine Tango. Forrest Webb (formerly of Rennie Harris Puremovement) and the Illstyle Rockers Hip Hop Ensemble from Akron, Ohio will close the show.
Csárdás is a unique dance company with an international reputation. Csárdás is a professional dance company that presents traditional and contemporary works stemming from Hungarian heritage. The Movement Arts Center is the school of Csárdás and was founded by Executive Director, Richard Graber in 2002. Csárdás Dance Company/Movement Arts Center serves as the only professional nonprofit dance organization/school in Medina county.
The nonprofit organization is funded through grants from The Stell Foundation, the Ultrasteel Corporation, the W.W. Grainger Co., Cleveland Hungarian Development Panel, the Sam's Club Foundation, the Ohio Arts Council and many generous individuals.
