Csárdás Dance Company's, Movement Arts Center, (MAC) is an Ohio based nonprofit
dance center/alternative performance space and gallery dedicated to presenting
quality dance educational programs within an open-studio environment. The "one
of a kind" studio/informal performance space is currently utilized for a variety
of dance courses in addition to being the home to the Csárdás Dance Company
Youth Ensemble, Ohio Conservatory of Dance as well as the site of Gallery 3609.
The MAC is currently available to outside organizational tenancy for
weekday and daytime usage. (preferably, but not limited to professional dance
organizations for subleases).
In addition to being an exceptional dance
facility, the uniqueness of the MAC also makes it viable for small and large
events and meetings. (For your privacy and pleasure, the MAC allows only one
large event in the building at a time.)
The building houses two dance
studios, (35 x 35 studio/informal performance space with curtain, as well as a
second studio 20 x 25). Both studios feature Stage Step II design sprung floors
with premium sound systems. The center also offers three office cubicles and a
spacious lobby area which doubles as an audience or reception space.
Meetings and/or rehearsals may be held any day during regular business
hours. Please inquire about available times for parties and receptions. The
entire Movement Arts Center building is available for large events. It can
accommodate up to 150 guests.
The MAC is accessible to people with
disabilities. Smoking is prohibited in the building. Accommodations for the
MAC/Gallery 3609 rental depend on the exhibition at the time of the rental. Due
to certain types of Gallery 3609 exhibitions, we may not be able to accommodate
all groups. The rental cost is based on the nature of the event and the time
required by the MAC to prepare for the event.
