Main Stage Performances
Demonstrating a repertoire that features a wide range of dialects and
styles, Csárdás entertains and delights audiences with a polished full stage
production by beautifully costumed artists. Main stage performances are available
from 30 min. to 1 hour in length and make for an experience rich in artistic
virtuosity.

 Community Master Classes/Children’s

These introductory instructional classes cover Hungarian dance idioms from several different regions of Hungary and/or Transylvania, and can be geared to any age group. Authentic music is utilized which affords the participate a true sense of Hungarian spirit. Hungarian dance is very
invigorating and enthusiastic! (30 minutes in length)
Combo Performance-Master
Class…$450
Have the best of both worlds with a 30-minute dance
performance by skilled and beautifully costumed artists. Then continue the fun
and education by providing hands-on experience with a 30-minute introductory
Master class which will cover Hungarian dance idioms from different regions of
Hungary. The Master class can be geared to any age group. Authentic music is
utilized which affords the participant a true sense of Hungarian spirit.
Hungarian dance is very invigorating and enthusiastic!

Description:
Informances are engaging and up-close educational performances. Csárdás
showcases excerpts of dance from several different ethnic regions with 4-6
performers in authentic colorful costumes with traditional music. In addition, Csárdás
educates the audience about the Hungarian people and their landscapes through
an informative study guide (optional) and slide presentation (optional). These
performances also include audience interaction and participation and may be
tailored to specific audiences.
Duration/Cost:
30 minutes - $350.00
45 minutes - $400.00
(with taped music)
Location: Stage or Gymnasium works best, although classroom is fine.
Facility/Equipment Needs: 25' x 25' performance area, changing area in
close proximity to performance area and water. Csárdás brings a slide
projector if needed. Sound equipment should be provided by the facility.
Number of Participants: Minimum 10 students; Maximum of 1,000 students.
Curriculum Goals: Every effort is made to connect our program with State
and National curriculum goals and standards.
Teaching Materials/Support: The Csárdás Culture Packet. (One copy provided upon request, photocopies
can be made).
Assessment/Evaluation: Discussion and question/answer sessions are part of
the program.
*Grant Resources: The Ohio Arts Council offers fee support and Artist in
Residence programs.
Residencies......Negotiable
The opportunity to
experience the diversity and beauty of Hungarian ethnic dance is available in a
residency program. Each residency concludes with a performance by students.
Travel expenses will be added to areas beyond northeast Ohio. Please
